Hello! My name is Beccah. I graduated in 2009 from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis with a BA in History and Museum Studies. I was named the Outstanding Museum Studies Undergraduate of the Year. While at IUPUI, I worked as a Service Learning Assistant for Dr. Melissa Bingmann, completed internships at the Indiana Historical Bureau, Indiana State Archives, the Benton House, and volunteered at National History Day of Indiana.
I love writing, history, museums, sports, and traveling. I live in Indianapolis with my husband and our two dogs. Currently I am serving on both the Benton House Association Board and Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library Advisory Board.
I am working on two personal research projects. The first is about Clemens Vonnegut, the great-grandfather of the literary great, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. The second is about the history of Indiana soda and bottling companies. If you have any information on either of these topics, please contact me at rebeccahgl@gmail.com.
